Social acceptability and protection of the commons on the island of Moòreà with the Tāhei ‘auti ia Mo’orea Federation
Along with Māòhi nui President Moetai Brotherson, we welcomed the steering committee of the Tāhei ‘auti ia Mo’orea Federation. Young and old, from different backgrounds, they share the same love and commitment to preserving their island’s commons.
Les projects, whatever they are and wherever they come from, must take social acceptability into account and adapt to the socio-economic and socio-cultural environment of each island, atoll and valley. Associations such as Tāhei ‘auti ia Mo’orea are indispensable players who must be relied on now and in the future.
