Meaning and intentions:

To honor the Mara’amu land that welcomes us and reaffirm our role as guardians.

Through simple actions—planting, maintaining, giving love to the land, observing changes—we bring the natural cycle to life and show our celebration of Matari’i.

This celebration of Matari’i I Ni’a reminds us that our culture is alive, not folkloric: it manifests itself through our actions, our connections, and our respect for the sky, the earth, and the sea.
