Mā'ohi culture
We need to put culture back at the heart of our practices. The fabric of culture is the history of a people. Drawing on the past to devise long-term solutions is the key to balanced development for everyone.
This is how the Tāhei ‘Autī ia Mo’orea Federation draws on the knowledge and know-how handed down through the generations to the island’s elders.
I’m committed to the federation to give back to Mo’orea all the happiness it brings me and will bring me in the future.
The pillars
Te moana, Te fenua, Te ra’i
The Earth Te fenua, the Sea Te moana and the Sky Te ra’i are the inseparable components of Te Ao Maohi, the perception of the world in which we have always evolved. It’s important to remember that the stars guided our pirogues, the sea carried us from one island to another and the earth nourished us.
